Experience the Best of Novato in Just 36 Hours: From Hidden Gems to Cozy Stays! There are so many beautiful places to visit in the Bay Area, but none more beautiful than Novato, California. There’s so much to do and see with nature escapes, productive meetings, and tranquil retreats at your fingertips—but how do you take it all in if you’re visiting for a short stay or business trip? Here are a few of our favorite activities you can do if you have 36 hours or less when staying in Novato this year.

Novato’s Hidden Gems

If you’re spending 36 hours in Novato, then the first thing we can recommend is a hike through Novato’s surrounding hills. Explore well-maintained trails like the newly opened Bay Trail in Hamilton Field or Rush Creek Preserve, perfect for leisurely walks amidst stunning scenery. Stafford Lake Park has it all for any adventurer with more hiking trails perfect for a sunset stroll, a well-maintained bike park, and shore fishing for anglers.

If you’re not much of an outdoors person but want to experience as many things as possible that Novato has to offer, we recommend stopping by the Vintage Oaks Shopping Center. The center boasts over 50 premium stores, dining options, and service providers. While there, if you need a moment to relax, why not stop in at the 9 Corners Healthstyle Galleria? They provide cutting-edge weight loss solutions and wellness services, from acupuncture to full-spectrum infrared saunas.

Next up, an evening stroll down Grant Avenue with its quaint boutiques and eateries in historic Old Town is a not to miss excursion. Your night out could include sipping award-winning local vintages by a cozy firepit or listening to live music.

Meeting Venues in Novato

Conducting business in Novato and need a venue? The Bill and Adele Jonas Center, nestled in a tranquil setting at Indian Valley Campus, features a spacious banquet hall, versatile lounge, and expansive courtyard, ideal for various occasions. Alternatively, consider The Key Room in the historic Hamilton neighborhood, boasting modern facilities, delicious catering, and ample parking.

If you’re an adventurous hiker, a classic Marin waterfall hike is Carson Falls. There are four great, under-the-radar waterfalls—plus a 360-degree view of Marin County from the peak of Pine Mountain—along the Carson Falls hiking path, which even has boulders to sit on and watch the waterfalls from. This hike is a hidden favorite among the locals that combines a few different interesting paths, but there are maps and hike descriptions available online. Access to Carson Falls is available from the Azaela Hill Trail parking lot on Bolinas-Fairfax Road. From here, the hike to the falls is approximately 3 miles.

Places to Stay in Novato
